The Advanced Cogeneration and Energy Utilization Center of Japan (ACEJ) was established in 2011 and currently has some 127 members. Most of the members are energy and technology companies with an interest in cogeneration. ACEJ’s overarching objective is to help preserve the global environment, contribute to the international community, and enhance the lives of people in Japan by promoting the use of cogeneration systems and other advanced energy technologies.

To promote and support cogeneration throughout Spain and in the areas where necessary, defending the interests of existing installations and promoting the construction of new plants, all based on the essential characteristics of this technology : high energy efficiency, primary energy savings, distributed electricity generation, contribution to climate action.

The Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE) is the leading trade association for decentralised energy in the United Kingdom, representing more than 150 interested parties from across the industrial, commercial and public sectors. The ADE strives for a more cost effective, efficient, decentralised and user orientated energy system, making use of technologies including combined heat and power (cogeneration), district heating, energy efficiency and demand side energy services.

Resulting from a merger in 1987, Baker Hughes is a global company with some 55,000 employees worldwide and customers in over 120 countries. Baker Hughes develops and deploys the most advanced technologies to serve energy and industrial companies looking for more efficient, more reliable and cleaner solutions. The German Association for Combined Heat and Power (B.KWK) was founded in 2001 and currently has some 371 members. These members include manufacturers, operators and planners of cogeneration systems, as well as public utilities, energy suppliers, scientific institutes and individuals. They all share the goal of advancing cogeneration in Germany and using the associated opportunities to benefit the economy and also the environment.

Cogen España is the Spanish Association for the Promotion of Cogeneration and a national member of Cogen Europe. Its foundations since 2001 are based on achieving an equitable legal framework without barriers for the development of cogeneration facilities.

COGEN Europe, the European Association for the Promotion of Cogeneration, is the cross-sectoral voice of the cogeneration industry. Its mission is to work with EU institutions and stakeholders to shape better policies and eliminate administrative, regulatory and market barriers to the wider use of cogeneration in Europe.

COGEN (Brazil) was founded in June 2003, as an independent, non-commercial civil society, based on the convergence of interests in the development of cogeneration, bringing together companies from the sugar cane agribusiness, natural gas and electricity distribution, and manufacturers and service providers in this area.

The Cogeneration Association of India (Cogen India) was created in 2001 and currently has some 50 members including cogeneration operators, suppliers of equipment and services, energy companies and utilities, state and central government ministries, departments and other public bodies, as well as academic and research institutions. Cogen India cooperates with a wide variety of national and international organisations to promote cogeneration and related technologies.

An exchange platform where actors from the public, private, academic, financial and general sectors interested in cogeneration meet, in order to create an instance of coordination of different initiatives and actions to promote cogeneration in Mexico.

COGEN Portugal – the Portuguese Association for Energy Efficiency and Promotion of Cogeneration is a non-profit association that brings together a wide range of stakeholders from across the cogeneration sector in Portugal, including equipment manufacturers and suppliers, installers and maintenance companies, engineering companies, fuel and lubricant suppliers.

COGENTURK (KOJENTÜRK) was established in 1998 in Istanbul. Its mission is: to promote and encourage the use of cogeneration in order to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions of greenhouse gases; and to suggest changes to legislation in order to facilitate the deployment of cogeneration technologies.
